INTRODUCING TST 2025’ $1 MILLION DOLLAR MATCH BALL
•The countdown to The Soccer Tournament (TST) 2025 is officially on - and with it comes the launch of Mitre’s most exciting innovation yet: the Ultimax Pro Match Ball.
Set to take centre stage from June 4–9 in Cary, North Carolina, TST 2025 will feature elite 7v7 teams from across the globe battling for a winner-takes-all $1 million prize. And at the heart of every goal, save, and celebration will be the Ultimax Pro, a ball designed to capture the spirit of the global knock out competition.
Inspired by Global Journeys
The Ultimax Pro is a tribute to the players’ international journeys. Its bold design features layers of graphics inspired by passport stamps, travel badges, and cultural symbols—culminating in a visual story of global connection. The phrase “Winner Takes All” boldly celebrates the high-stakes drama of the knockout tournament, while playful bumper sticker motifs reflect the vibrancy of the U.S., TST’s host nation.
Paying homage to the host town, Cary, North Carolina, the Ultimax Pro also integrates chevron-style patterns modelled on real topography data from the region - tying the ball directly to WakeMed Soccer Park, where legends across both Men’s and Women’s teams will be made.
Precision Meets Innovation
Backed by over 200 years of football innovation, Mitre’s Ultimax Pro is built for elite performance. It features:
- FIFA Quality Pro accreditation
- Four-panel construction for a larger sweet spot and cleaner strikes
- Hyperseal thermal bonding for durability and shape retention
- Hyperfoam tech for perfect balance between cushioning and power
- Hyperflow grooves for enhanced accuracy and stability in-flight
Perfectly suited for TST’s fast-paced format, the Ultimax Pro promises a game-changing experience for both players and fans.
“We’ve tried to capture the values of the competition in our new ball design—global unity, elite performance, and bold identity,” said Simon Rowe, SVP of Mitre & Global Sports Marketing at Pentland Brands.
“Mitre has been an incredible partner of ours since day one! Our players and fans love their game balls and bold designs,” added Jon Mugar, TST founder and CEO.
Take Home the Action
To celebrate the launch, Mitre is also releasing a full range of supporter’s balls—including training and mini versions—so fans can take part in the TST excitement wherever they are.
The Ultimax Pro and supporter’s range will be available starting May 8, 2025, exclusively at mitre.com and soccer.com.
